Hi,

I have recently upgraded my hMailServer to 4.3, which went very smoothly.  I have created a new mail service in the server settings in DNP for hMailServer 4.3, but I can't remove the old 4.x version within server settings because it hosts email accounts; I also can't control any email accounts because they are for the old 4.x but my server is now 4.3.

What is the easiest way to migrate the email accounts within DNP to the new service I added for 4.3?  There must be a better way than deleting them and starting again because this would be a nightmare everytime an update was issued!  Thanks again.

I also got into the same situation. What I did was I went directly in the database of DNP. Ok, here's the step by step solution:

1. Backup first your DNP database
2. Browse the Table "Providers", search for "hMailServer 4.3" record under the "DisplayName" column then get the "ProviderID".
3. Browse the Table "Services", search for the name of your hMailServer service record under the "ServiceName" column then replace the "ProviderID" with the "ProviderID" you got from the "Providers" table.
4. If your database change is successful, you should be see in your DNP control panel under services that it's now using "hMailServer 4.3" provider.
5. Lastly, you need to edit that service and put your hMailServer 4.3 username and password so DNP can interactive with hMailServer.

If you're successful in doing it like me, then you should be able to create and delete email accounts without any problems.
