SmarterMail 4 released and Licenses Available for Sale

Just for your information, SmarterMail 4.x has been released today and as a reseller I’ll be able to provide its new license and version upgrades on competitive prices.

I would like to give you a brief information about new SmarterMail v4.

Major New Features in SmarterMail 4

- SmarterMail 4.x is implemented in Microsoft .Net 2.0, allowing for faster and more efficient operation on your server.
- Anti-Spam Enhancements
o Greylisting support reduces the amount of spam that enters your infrastructure by up to 98% by delaying email the first time it comes in with a specific delivery path. The option can be enabled or disabled by domain. Greylisting prevents the majority of spam from needing traditional spam filtering, freeing up resources on your mail server.
o Integrated SpamAssassin allows your system to use this free, effective anti-spam technology as an additional scoring mechanism to rate spam. Support for external, load-balanced SpamAssassin servers allows you to distribute your anti-spam processing across several network managed SpamAssassin servers for high-load environments.
o The introduction of spam checking and blocking for outgoing messages to reduce the potential of your server being blacklisted or to stop unwanted emails from leaving your server.
o Ability to add spam weight to a message based on content in a header in the email, for use with external anti-spam systems.

- A real-time performance dashboard page you can keep open to monitor the health of a mail server, from CPU and memory, to spam counts and virus detection
- The introduction of historical reporting of a mail server on over 20 report items. This can be used for planning and forecasting of future growth as well as troubleshooting.
- Scheduled email reports allow your administrators to get reports of server health and mail usage on a regular basis in their email accounts
- Smart Gateways, which allow all mail servers to send through your array of outbound gateway servers and balance load. If one server gets overloaded, deliveries will be postponed to that server until it catches up the rest.
- The webmail and system admin interfaces have been re-designed with the primary focus being on increased speed and usability. New features include the preview pane, lower-bandwidth component controls, and an intuitive today page.
- Auto-Complete for the To, CC, and BCC addresses when composing in webmail.
- Multiple skins will be included out of the box. Policies for the skins used can be determined on a global, domain, and/or user basis, with options to disallow overrides. Standard .Net 2.0 features like Themes and Master Pages allow live editing of custom skins.
- In addition to our existing methods of Anti-Virus technology, ClamAV support will be included out of the box with SmarterMail for those that do not have another solution.
- New release of SmarterMailSync for Outlook which includes synchronization of shared, as well as optional automatic synchronization on startup and exit of Outlook. All SmarterMail Sync products continue to come at no cost to end users when used with SmarterMail Enterprise editions.
- Pop Retrieval to allow users to grab email from external POP accounts and pull them into their SmarterMail account
- Support for Notes and Shared Notes added to webmail
- Better spell check support with over 20 languages supported, with support for per-user custom dictionaries.
- Performance enhancements to basic spooling that work around NTFS directory limitations for very large spools. Sub-Spooling is also enabled by default, as the preferred spool storage mechanism.
- Numerous general performance enhancements and changes to the default settings to help administrators use the SmarterMail more effectively, and get it set up quickly.

Yes you do qualify for free SmarterTools bundle and thats come with SM 4 now. Contact support so they can issue you one.
