I would like to use a remote service like Nettica.Com for My DNS Management. They have a Web-service Interface that would allow you to create a provider. What is the likely hood that you would add support for Nettica specifically.

Are you interested in work that I did based on your Base Class and interface [HostingServiceProviderBase,IDnsServer]?

Any news on this feature? Have you decided if it will be implemented at some point even if you have not decided when? Mostly I want to know so I can decided how much effort I should put into wedging an implementation of my own into DNP.

We've been investigating their API and it seems to be suitable for implementation in DNP. Yes, we will be supporting this service.

I see this is now supported in 2.2.0 . This is great news. I wish I had known of the release. I have to start keeping a closer eye on developments. Thank you for supporting this. It will make my life so much easier.

Well, I have upgraded and I have to say, I am a little confused. Is there any documentation as to what the different settings are to be set to? I tried a few things that I thought might be the intended settings and the results were less then successful. I can not even get it to update or list anything. I am sure it is a matter of knowing how to set it. Please point me in the right direction.

You should setup the account at nettica.com and then specify it on DNS service settings in DNP.

So the only thing I need to fill in is the Username and password? Nothing else?

Will it import anything, the existing record for a Domain maybe? 

Also I have tried this. I don't see any records and I can not add any records. Also I get no errors nothing. It just looks like I have done nothing.

I filled in my Nettica username and password. Is there more? I don’t know of anything else that should need to be configured but maybe I am wrong.

When I try to add a record it does not seem to show up anywhere.

Can you please give me a little guidance on the settings? Maybe you can tell me specifically what values should go where when setting it up. Also a mapping of the DNS record creation page to the values in the Nettica record page would be helpful. Once I get it working I will be happy to write up a short Guide to help others.
 

OK so when that does nothing... What next? Give me something real to look at please.
