Re: Creating Web Applications Installer packages

    Hi Paul,

I checked and the path is correct in the server, the service is enabled on the hosting space and I even tried to override the quotas and select the box for PHP5 but nothing?  Anymore ideas?

In order to ensure that your hosting space meets with a certain app packs requirements please review <requirements/> section in the Application.xml (you can find mentioned file in the app pack folder).

    Thanks Paul,

I've checked the requirements and I already have them?  Let's say IssueTracker, it requires aspnet 1.1 and sql2000 or sql2005.  Ihave sql2005 and asp1.1 but still it doesn't display.

    Hi Matt,

Make sure you are switched to the space that has mentioned resources.

I really can't see why this isn't working?!  I was switched to the space that had the resources mentioned.

Could you e-mail us some test account for your DNP installation to take a closer look?

Btw, did you change applications.xml file?

Re: Creating Web Applications Installer packages

    Matt,

We've checked your DNP. Almost all your customer spaces have "Override quotas on the space level" option enabled which means those spaces won't use quota settings of hosting plan, but they override them. Thus if you change something in the plan it doesn't affect "overriden" spaces. Also, those spaces with "overriden" quotas don't have "ASP.NET 1.1" enabled.

You should either enable "ASP.NET 1.1" for each space or enable "Use quotas defined on the plan level" option.

I realise I have a lot of override settings in place.  I'm having trouble deciding on hosting plans and options, plus I need to setup add-ons so they can have hosting space as a base and add-ons to take them up to the appropriate level.  So until I finish with all that good stuff I have just overridden quotas, I forgot to mention the only one I was really changing and testing was the user robert.chapman but it was my mistake that 1.1 was not enabled; I thought it was, sorry.

We are going to add custom actions in the next installer versions, so you'll b able to inject your custom business-specific logic into application installation process.

was this capability implemented in 1.5.3?

Re: Creating Web Applications Installer packages

    Hi Seok,

Actually, you should create a new folder in "[ES_ROOT]\WebApplications" only and place your application pack files there. If your application requires custom settings control it should be placed to "[PORTAL_ROOT]\DesktopModules\DotNetPanel\ApplicationInstallerControls" folder then.

You can generate database SQL scripts using SQL Management Studio or other tools.

Is there a way to give only 1 application pack to sites?  I have a customer that just needs the Database Tools and not the others.
