    DNN 4.5.3

Is there a place where the latest application packs can be downloaded? I thought there used to be somewhere but don't see it now.

I am mainly looking for the DotNetNuke 4.5.3 app pack.

    Thanks.

I saw that but I am not prepared to upgrade immediately. But I do have a use for DNN 4.5.3.

Is the standard practice now to only be able to get app pack updates with DNP updates? I thought there used to be a place to just get app packs, but I don't see it anymore.

    Thanks.

Thanks so much! Worked like a Charm. I only had to open a new browse to get it to show up. But I was looking and trying to figure out how to Restart the Enterprise server in case I needed to. I thought it was a service, but did not see it in the list. Would I restart is somewhere in the application? I know that sounds like a totally lame question for someone operating a hosting business...I guess I am just too dependent on Rubal and try not to clutter my mind with too much stuff that other people do so well.

you're right, it is pretty lame if you operate a hosting business and don't know how your own key systems work. Perhaps you should leave the whole thing to somebody who does know what they're doing.

Anyway - ES is a web service. You shouldn't need to restart it in the same sense that you would restart a traditional daemon based service. But if you must, just restart the IIS WWW service.

Lee, the instructions on the page where I downloaded the app pack specifically said ...

You might need to restart the Enterprise Server and Portal for changes to take effect.

So that is what I was referring to in my post. For some reason I was thinking that I saw a place in the DNP app to restart the ES, but could not remember. So I was inquiring about that.

To be honest DNP is a great product for me and I use it on a daily basis. But I hired Rubal to do the install on multiple servers because he is an expert at these things and it is very cost effective to work with him. So I admit, I don't know everything there is to know about DNP or anything else for that matter. But that doesn't keep me from operating a business and working with other smart people when they can add value to the service I provide for my clients.

So I really don't need any smart remarks related to that. When you find that you know everything about everything...shoot me an email...and maybe I will hire you to come work for me. Wink I am typically pretty low conflict, but your remark struck me in a bad way at a bad time and I feel it was not really warranted.

    Have a great day!
