    DotnetPanel API

     Hello,

I am trying to find DotnetPanel API reference, I found only one link but it does not work.

Do you have any URL for API reference?

    Thanks,

Just download DNP Portal sources (in "Downloads" section on our web site) and see the richness of DNP API! Wink

    Hello;

We are going to use another registrar (currently using without DotNetPanel), that's why I asked for API reference.

I could not find any information regarding to registrar API's. We dont want to use Directi or Enom. We are currently using GoDaddy/WildWestDomains as domain registrar. We want to keep going with them.

Additionally, we want to integrate our commercial accounting software with DotnetPanel. So, we need to payment API information.

Please note that, we are not DotNetPanel user currently but decided to use DotNetPanel if we can able to see if it's matching with our needs.

So, if there are any information regarding to registrar API and payment API we will be very happy :)

    Regards,

I searched all the site. As far as I understood:

    • You dont have API  support for custom registrars (other than enom and directi)
    • You dont have API support for custom payment options
    • You dont have documentation. This is the most important thing.

But What do you have that I like:

    • Multi-server support
    • Unlimited depth of reseller
    • Basic interface for end users
    • Easy installation and operation.
But you need to really work hard on documentation.

I have to say documentation would be nice, but I find DNP is so easy that it's not needed for a lot of things.

    Re: DotnetPanel API

If you dont need custom payment options, custom account creation, yes you are right.

But we are using virtual pos accounts from several banks. So, we need to implement our own credit card payment option.

We are using GoDaddy/WildWestDomains as registrar.  Which is requirest our own code.

We are using accounting program. We need to integrate payment on this software. Because billing must be on paper in our country. You may not just send a PDF/HTML bill to the customer. You have to provide hard copy and this is done by our accounting and billing software.

We do want to integrate control panel into our site desing and accounting software. New software should not change the way you work, just it sould make it easier.

Without customization, you dont have this option. If you want to customize DotNetPanel, you will need full documentation of API references.

That's what I am trying to say.

    Re: DotnetPanel API

Because your needs seem to be so unique, I would recommend not using DotNetPanel's ecommerce and registrar functionality; but rather use DNP only for hosting account creation and server management.

This means that you will have to build your own checkout/fulfillment system that would connect all the pieces (accounting, registrar, DNP, etc.). If you are already familiar with the API for the accounting package and registrar I assure you that the API for DNP will not be a problem. Absolutely, all functionality for Enterprise Server and Server app is available from the API.

ACW; That's exactly what we do.

We do not want to use e-commerce and registrar API. But we need to know how DNP handles things.

Let's say, a customer came and bought a domain name, created account, bought a web hosting plan and made payment from our interface.

We need to seemsly syncronize information to DNP database. We need to create DNP account, for customer, inform DNP about payments, etc.

In order to work this way, you have to know how to create accounts and how to add payments externally. Even the domain name customer bought, you need to add to the hosting plan externally.

That's why, we need dotnelpanel API information.
