I would really love it if for people who use MailEnable (Me) could have the "Forwardings" section work a little differently.
When you create a new Mail Account, there is the option to "Forward to a different address" This is good, but there should also be a checkbox for "leave a copy at the current mailbox"
Then instead of "Forwardings" (Because we have already dealt with that above), we should have the option to create "Alias's". This way say i have an account called rockinthesixstring@mydomain.com and i also want messages sent to sales@mydomain.com, but i want those messagse sent to my main address "rockinthesixstring". The way it currently deals with this, it creates a new mail account, forwards to the first address, and deletes the messages sent to the alias.
This works, but causes MailEnable to process the message twice, scan it for spam twice, etc etc etc.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE, is it should create another "name" or "alias" under an existing email address, then any message sent to either one of those names will go directly to the appropriate mailbox on a single process AND when the user logs into webmail, they woudl have the option to send FROM either one of the two addresses. As it sits now the user would NOT be able to send a message from sales@mydomain.com
Does this make sense?
