Could someone please explain the "Initial Status" in detail for me?

I looked on the help but all I found was

Initial Status – initial status of purchased hosting plan product

Should the Inital Status be set to "Pending" or should it be set to "Active"?  If it is set to active, will the space be activated even before payment is processed?

I just need a little more details.

Starting from 2.4.0 version Ecommerce activates spaces only after the payment approval. So I think "Initial Status" option in your case should be set to Active.
