Can't get Scheduled Backups to Work!

    Can't get Scheduled Backups to Work!

    We are running DotNetPanel v2.4.0 and have purchased the optional modules pack.

    The problem we are having is that we cannot get scheduled backups to work.

    Whenever I create a scheduled task to backup and it runs when scheduled or I start the scheduled task manually no backup file is created in the specified location.

    This happens regardless of whether I choose to backup to a Hosting Space Folder or a Server Folder or UNC Path.

    If I do a non-scheduled backup (ie. by clicking Backup under Tools on the customer's page) I can backup fine, to the same folder that I have specified in my scheduled task.

    Also there seems to be a bug in scheduled tasks. If you create a scheduled task of the type "Backup" and set it to backup to a Server Folder or UNC Path, when you go back in to edit the task it will always default back to backup to Hosting Space Folder instead of Server Folder or UNC Path. However, if you do change it back to Server Folder or UNC Path it does remember the original path.

    This is an example of a scheduled task I have tried to create:

    Task Name: Backup Tuesday
    Task Type: Backup
    Task Parameters: Backup File Name: backup-tuesday-customer.dnpak
     Copy Backup To: Server Folder or UNC Path
     Server Folder ot UNC Path: D:\HostingBackups
    Schedule: Weekly Start Time: 12:00
     Day of the Week: 2
    Enabled: Checked
    Priority: Normal
    Max Execution Time: 1 Hours

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Does this folder already exist to which you try to backup. Also verify the NTFS permissions, make sure the user account under which your AppPool runs has the proper access rights on the backup folder.

    The folder does exists and I can do a backup to it, just not a scheduled backup. I also can't do a scheduled backup to the hosting spaces folder. Does this suggest a problem with permissions or something else?

    NB: I also gave full control rights to Everyone for that folder and it made no difference.

    Can anyone help with this problem? Has anyone got scheduled backups to work at all?

    We have now upgraded to DNP 2.5.0 and scheduled backups are now working.
