Hello,

I am using DNP from 2006 but not in production environment. I must say I am happy using it but the small annoyances are making me feel dull. Take this Windows2008 support, as soon as I saw that on System Requirements page I went ahead and rented a Dedicated server with Windows 2008 Std on it.

While I am trying to configure DNP and all services they get configured without any errors. When I try to install an Application pack I get the  "Hexadecimal" something error this "Hexadecimal" errors are popping up here and there for different operations and I literally lost track of them, Backup process works well, restore doesn't.

I am aware of the problems I talked above I am not sure what I will encounter as I keep testing.

So my question to DNP  is what is going on with windows 2008.

 "Operating System Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (SP2 is recommended) or Windows Server 2008."

The above sentence made me rent a dedicated server and I want to be happy with everything working good and as it is supposed to be that isDNP performing error free operations at a very basic level to get us going.

Or in the end am I early to rent this dedicated server? and DNP isn't ready for 2008

we use 2008 with only small issues (not many).  in general it works!

i believe DNP 2.5 is due out this week before hosting con with better windows 2008 support.

Yes, that's true. Some minor things have been corrected in 2.5 for better IIS7 support.

Thank you, does some minor things corrected means do they include the symptoms I mentioned above by any chance or are they exclusive to my system and no one else ever experienced these errors 

Can't say you right now.

However, we do our best to investigate and fix any errors related to IIS 7.

We're all anxiously waiting.... its such great software, and in a Windows Server 2008 environment would be kewl to see it be just as good or better as your other platforms with DNP.
