FrontPage Server Extensions on IIS7 - how to enable?

    Hello!

I upgraded today to DNP 2.5.0 version on my Windows 2008 Web Server x64. I downloaded FPSE installer from here:

    http://www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=1630

After installation there is new webpage called Microsoft SharePoint Administration which use MSSharePointAppPool where I can "extend" webpages just like it is written here:

    http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/134/install-frontpage-server-extensions/#03

My question is what should I do to enable FPS under DNP 2.5.0? I updated hosting plans and now when I try to edit webpage and click Frontpage button I'm getting message that FPSE is not installed.

    Thanks

Have You checked URL for download?

    There is:

    Overview

Microsoft and Ready-to-Run Software have released a new version of the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions (FPSE 2002) for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.

I see the same issue. FP is most definitely installed and I am running 2008 x64 and the panel says the extensionas are NOT installed. It might be as simple as the path that is checked for the install. On Windows x64, the path is:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\50\bin

By default so maybe the DotNetPanel is not checking that path? Just a thought.

DNP gets FP settings from the registry i believe, I was told this by Feodor the otherday. I have not installed FP yet on any of my 2008 machines.  Ill try this today if i can.

     hi

i installed FP 2002 from the link above. i got an error saying can not read IIS7. however it installed and worked fine with no configuration required within DNP (apart from editing the hosting plan allowance).

Worked great!  i am using Windows 2008 DC Edition x86
