    Error updating settings in DNP

    Hi,

I'm getting the messaging similar to one below whenever I try to update the settings. Is there any fix?

    Thanks and regards

    David,

What do you mean by "DNP Server component"? Is it service or application pool?

The last thing I did that could cause the problem is deleting the DNP user from server's user accounts. If it is required for DNP to operate, any ideas how the user can be recreated?

    Thanks and regards

    Eddie

Yes it is required...you have to reinstall the Dotnetponel Server from the Configuration studio to create the Dotnetpanel Server  NTFS users. If you deleted all the DNP users from the user accounts you have to reinstall the DNP componnent( Enterpriseserver /Portal /Server) from the Configuration studio.

I have deleted DNPEnterpriseServer Windows User account. The DNP acocunts are still availabel and I can log in. However I cannot retrieve or update data (FTP, spaces, websites etc). Can the above be fixed without reinstalling DNP?

     Hi eddiebel

DNPEnterpriseServer is the central core of the Dotnetpanel you have to reinstall it in order to work properly.
