    Import email list from Merak

    Bug ?

    DNP 283, Merak 9.4.0

No "Mailing List Members" get listed when importing resource from Merak.
When i copy adresses manually and save, then they are there ofc.

Re: Import email list from Merak

Still bugged mail lists in DNP 2.8.8 with MERAK 9.4.0

Windowsserver is 2003 sp2 swedish 32bit. both dnpserver and merakserver.

Custumer can see all listmembers, but after edit and save, it gets currupted: cutting adresses, adding: ;2; to adresses and empty lines.

This is easy checked in maillist-name.txt in merak configfolder.

Mail group, alias and account is working correct (so far i have tested).

Can someone else try change mail list members in merak to confirm this bug ??

Re: Import email list from Merak

Service Properties 2.8.8. Merak provider says : Merak Mail Server 8.0.3 - 9.2.x

Dotnetpanel website says: Merak Mail Server 8.x - 9.3.x

9.4 has been out for a year.

Is this the problem that the provider i outdated or a bug ?

Noone answer this thread so its realy boring to write here....  Atleast RUBAL (old HELM buddy) can check this ???

Common now, dear supplier Dotnetpanel, i pay you every month, help me out.

Re: Import email list from Merak

Hiya ... I'ld have loved to check and revert back on this but unfortunately I have no DNP machine running Merak so not able to investigate. I had many clients running Merak but eventually all migrated to SmarterMail because of continuos API and performance issues.

I'll be happy to check it for you on your machine if you want. Feel free to catch me on msn or email me.

Am I the only one with Merak 9.4 and Dotnetpanel on this forum ?
Has someone else tried maillists and Merak on ANY version ??

Please report if this should work at all.

    Hi,

Please describe exact sceario how do you perform import.

I've just tested with DNP 2.8.9. and Merak 9.4.2 and all works properly. I'm able to see mail list members after importing.

    Best regards,

Re: Import email list from Merak

I update this post so check again soon.

Not so much wrong with the actual importing now.

But when trying to change the maillist, it get currupted, some email adresses loses charcters, not all...
And when saving a list, and then try to remove one adress and save again, is not removed...!!!
Directly in Merak then its possible to remove an adress.

But i have one list that is a Group in Merak, imported as list in Dotnetpanel...
Could that be the problem ?? Maybee not, becouse i have another list that is a list and its also not possible to change members correct.

List email adresses can look like this:

    .com;2;

When i try to create a new list with only a few members it works ok, so try with 100 members.

I have now updated to 2.8.9 , but still 9.4.0 on Merak.

    Another releated problem

The Group in Dotnetpanel is not a group in Merak at all but an account with just attached forwarders, and is thus limited to only 10-15 members ...
A real group in Merak can surley have as many members as lists, but not so many settings.
