    New VPS, new DNP install.

Bit embarrassed asking this question, must be simple.

I've just taken on a Win 2008 Hyper-V VPS and I'm waiting for a domain to be transferred from another registrar. When I install DNP, it asks me for a domain name, but if I enter the domain name I'm transferring, presumably DNP will not install/work until the domain is live?

Is it possible to install and experiment with DNP locally, without the public domain?

    Thanks.

Are you referring to the DNP Configuration Studio installs?

If so, just leave the domain blank and you can use the IP:port to access the installation.
You can then reconfigure the domain item later when DNS is propagated

    Hope that helps

    That did help.

I ran Configuration Studio again and removed the domain. I can now access the Panel using http://127.0.0.1:9001/

    Thanks for your help.
