    Detaching/Importing Resources

I understand the basics of detaching meta components from a user then importing them to another user, but here's the problem I'm having, maybe you can help me see what I'm doing wrong:

Serveradmin has a reseller named "joe"

Joe has a reseller named "bob"

Joe currently has a functioning domain, web site, database, database user, mail domain in his hosting space

As serveradmin, I detached all these components.

I then went to serveradmin>joe>bob>bobsspace>space home and selected import resources. The detached resources do not appear.

However, If I go to serveradmin>joe>joesspace>space home and select import resources, the detached resources DO appear.

QUESTION: How do I cause the detached resources to become available for import into bob's hosting space?

    Thanks in advance

Make sure that the bob hosting plan has the necessary resources.

Also, if you have multiple web servers, mail, etc.. you could be running into the issue that the bob space is actually on a different server, therefore the items can't be imported.

If you're talking about making sur ethe hosting plan has sufficient rights to disk space, bandwidth, databases and what not, it does.

Also, the services are on the same server and same virtual server (I only have one of each).

Strange... The only thing I can suggest to try at this point would be to set the plan for the bob user to unlimited everything just to make sure it isn't a resource problem

I'll try it - how do you set it to unlimited?

    Re: Detaching/Importing Resources

Figured out how to set everything to unlimited - did that. Now, when I go to Import Resources, instead of just having an empty "Resources" folder, it has the entire hierarchy of empty folders:

     Resources

    DNS Zone

    Web Site

    FTP Account

    Etc.

I have detached the resources from the host account, but I don't know why they are not available for the child account to import.

I believe I know why I can't import it now - I don't think that I detached the DNS zone. How can I find a list of attached DNS zones so that I can detach it?

You would detach the domain to detach DNS.
