    DotNet Panel Errors

I had problem connecting to DotNet Portal and I read all the post that seemed to relate to my problem. I followed up with re-installation of Portal and keep getting the following errors.

    Error Installing DotNetNuke

    Current Assembly Version: 04.03.01

ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

After refreshing, the following error comes up.

    DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

    Login failed for user 'DotNetPanelPortal'.

I have even done a fresh install and I am still stuck here. Any help will be appreciated,

    Re: DotNet Panel Errors

    Feodor,

Before I posted to the forum, I had gone through http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/thread/401.aspx  and the second item http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/thread/1374.aspx  does not seem to relate to any of the errors. It was after not being able to resolve the issues from previous posts on forum that I decided to do a fresh install.

Unfortunately, with the fresh installation, the issues still remain.

Btw, recently we've found a bug in DNP Installer regarding database user passwords. If database password contains non-XML friendly symbols (like &, %, etc.) that should be escaped then the final connection string will have wrong password.

Try to use for database user the password containing letters and numbers only.

The database passwords do not have any of those symbols. They only have numbers and letters as suggested.
