Users can not manage own Remote IIS in DNP

    Hi,

Under the Management tab in Website Properties on DNP we are getting this error:

Management Service is not installed on the web server. Please contact your system administrator.

Management Service is installed and it does work. We have created Users in IIS to test this. We would like our users to be able to manage it themselves. Is there anything special that has top be done so it intergrates with IIS directly?

    Settings:

    IIS7, Windows Server 2008, DNP 2.8.8

What system you have (x86 or x64)? If x64 then do you have App Pools set to 32bit compatibility?

     Sorry,

It is a x64 system the app pools are set to 32bit, we have another server that is the same (64bit with 32 bit pools) and it works fine. Is there a particular pool you are suppose to set?

Re: Users can not manage own Remote IIS in DNP

Issue here which I've already reported (maybe in next update it will be fixed) is having DNP Server application pool in 32bit mode where Windows is in x64. DNP Server can't access applicationHost.config file located in Windows directory.Changing DNP Server to x64 mode disables possibility to manage ODBC drivers so users can't create Access databases.

Not when we first tried it and discovered the issue, but now changes have been made to it.

what changes exactly are you talking about?  We changed the feature delegation directly in iis and it caused customer sites to not work. even dnp wouldnt edit the sites.
