Importing Resources: mail Forwardings imported as Accounts.

    Hi,

When importing mail resources from hMailServer mail Forwardings are imported as Accounts.

DNP cannot distinguish between Accounts and Forwardings. Forwardings are imported as Accounts.

However Mailing Lists are fine. Could you fix this please? It's really important issue.

    Thank you in advance.

    My system is w2k3 sp2 x32, DNP v2.8.10, hMailServer 4.4.3 and 5.2.1 (with SimplerSoftware DNP Providers v0.3.9).

P.S. There was a Feature Request already earlier on here: http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/t/3464.aspx

    Regards,
    Jegor.

This is the same for SMarterMail as well and always has been. I believe the root cause is that the mail server itself does not actually differentiate a forwarding from an actual user. In SmarterMail they are one and the same. When DNP creates a forwarding in SM it merely cuts out the extra step we must take to add the forward. The forwarding user account is still a user.

Is that not the same with hMail?

    Hi,

No it's not the same with hMailServer. Accounts and Forwardings (Aliases) are kept as separate objects.

So for SM it's really complicated, but not for hMailServer.
