    Helm licenses for sale

I'm moving from Helm to Dotnetpanel now. I have 9 Helm licenses. I'm going to sell them soon. Tell me if you need 1 or more. Of course if you need 9 at once, it is cheaper. ;)

I would definitely buy them if they were Helm 4 licenses Smile [:)]

Maybe you'd better try to sell them at Helm support forums? Of course you can sell here, but I think it is easier to find a buyer for Helm licenses there.

They do not allow to sell there. :( Helm lic. is like a non-convertible currency.

We also need to sell several Helm licenses. All are of "Helm Control Server License" type ($900 worth), but you can use them as "Remote Licenses" ($300 worth) also.

We are going to sell them at $200 each. Email or PM me if you need one or more.

Honestly HELM fell short at everything I ever wanted to do, I hate to say that cause I thought it was a nice package but, but, ... well you know

It is like the following situation: I sell pork pies, but you stay by my side and say to my shoppers: "It is not fresh. And I know, there is dog’s meat, not pork".

Can I sell something in this case? Wink [;)]

If you open a topic "Pros and cons of HELM" at our forum, I'll be glad to discuss it. But, please, do not say a word about my pork ... oh... licenses.

One man offered $150 per license. Anybody else? $160? Wink [;)]

How to transfer the license after phasing from you? Is it transferrable or not? Need any proper documents?

I am interested in getting a low cost windows hosting control panels, is dotpanel a better choice when comparing with Helm since you do not want to use Helm any more?

In terms of features, which one is better and more stable? Hope you can give me some advice...

    Re: Helm licenses for sale

It is easy to transfer them, we sold many licenses already (we used to use Helm on our servers in 2002-2004). We do not need any documents. We just ask Helm support team to transfer the licenses to your account and they move.

Today Dotnetpanel 1.0.3 is definitely better than the newest Helm 3.2.x in terms of features etc. The only advantage of Helm today is its built-in billing module. But Dotnetpanel will have a built-in billing module in May (beta) - June/July (release). And the last Helm advantage vanishes.

Below is a citation of Dotnetpanel vs Helm discussion from Helm support forum (the post was removed by Helm moderators Smile [:)] ):

    Dotnetpanel has (Helm does not):

Cross server communication on port 80
Good file manager that replaces FTP
    Good support for virtual folders
    Database backup and restore
    Reseller depth
    Account suspension that disables resources
    Audit logs
    Bandwidth reports account for Mail/FTP
    Temporary domains

    ...

    Re: Helm licenses for sale

Thank you for your prompt reply!

Our company is operating and maintaining many servers in data centre, the most important concern is about the control panel's stability and ease of installation for quick setting up of new servers.

Billing modules are useful for our own web servers for hosting clients, for our clients' servers billing modules may not be necessary.

Helm now already got version 4, it is free upgradable when the license is within 1 year usage, how about yours? already used up free upgrades or not? How much do you offer for Helm? USD150?

I may choose to install Helm for one of my servers and try Dotnetpanel for other servers. If I install Helm trial right now, is it able to use your license file after 1 month? Will that be any version conflicts?

Our panel is stable. We test it from April 2005 and have no issues with its stability. Also at this forum you won't find any stability related problems of Dotnetpanel users.

Also we install Dotnetpanel for free. It is easy to install, but you even do not need to do it yourself.

    xufeng:
Helm now already got version 4,

Wrong. Take a look at the main page of their web site:

Latest Release Date: 17th January 2005 Version: 3.2.9

Helm4 is beta now. And they even do not promise to finish it this year. Maybe it will be finished in 2007...

    xufeng:
it is free upgradable when the license is within 1 year usage, how about yours? already used up free upgrades or not?

We ordered them in 2002-2004 and used to the end of 2004. Starting from first month of 2005 we use Dotnetpanel. Thus our Helm licenses should be upgraded to Helm4 for free, if Helm4 will be ever made Wink [;)]

    xufeng:
How much do you offer for Helm? USD150?

We are trying to sell them at a higher price Wink [;)] We have already a buyer who wants them. He is willing to pay $150 per license. Can you offer more?

    xufeng:

Oops... It is better to ask at Helm support forums. I guess you can use them.

No Conflicts. Once your trial licence expire you can use any 3.2.x version licence key to activate it further and get it going.
