    Exchange 2007 Trial Key?

Is there a way I can use some sort of trial ID so I can trial the setup process of Exchange?  At the moment I get an error when I try to create an Organisation.

You should be able to get one from your SPLA provider for free. You only start paying for it when you start selling it to your clients.

Unfortunately we do not provide evaluation licenses on DNP Exchange 2007 Module.

Why we do not provide evaluation licenses:

    • Each Hosted Exchange environment should be investigated & planned for the deployment
    • Deployment of Hosted Exchange Module is not so straightforward as it may seem
    • Planning & deployment tasks consume time and resources

And what about DNP Gold licenses? Do they automatically get the Exchange module?

If I look at the original announcement of 2.0 and the change licensing in following thread:

    http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/thread/3751.aspx

    Feodor wrote the following:

    *** Existing Customers

Of course, the information above may seem very shocking for our existing customers. Dear friends, we keep our promises and don’t forget about those great people staying with us all this year. So, the second great news is that ALL our existing customers will get DNP protection for ages. This means the following:

    * All existing licenses will have the MAXIMUM set of functionality included without any quantitative limitations.
    * All existing licenses will have FREE LIFE-TIME major and minor upgrades warranty.

So I would assume DNP gold licenses automatically receive the hosted Exchange functionality.

I think the key word there is existing in "All existing licences".

AFAIK Exchange 2007 is a new licence and it retails for $2490/server so I would be very surprised if its included but I can't be 100% sure because the Gold licence isn't on the online store so I've no idea how much that was.

Yes, I could confirm that DNP Hosted Exchange module is not included in DNP Gold license.

DNP Gold licenses include all DNP 2.0 functionality on that moment, i.e. DNP Core, E-commerce, Backup and App Installer modules and their future major updates.

However, all new DNP modules are not covered by DNP Gold license.

So the statement that DNP gold license will have the maximum set of functionality is obsolete now? There was no indication in that statement that future modules were not part of this.

DNP HES is a separate product and I'd say more it's not a part of DNP framework but it is based on it.

While I agree that the Exchange product is to big to be classed as part of the existing DNP framework, I just hope that to many of your other additions aren't going to be 'just based on it' Smile
