You should checkout HC7 Build 12

Was just getting re-aquainted with another panel that I have demo-ed in the past and then bought. I quickly found DNP after the fact and then uninstalled HC7. However after numerous billing issues and errors I decied to go back to HC7 and then update.

I have to say that that panel ROCKS especially with billing. Selling to some one is a cake walk and inporting the website and selling the plan is as easy as 123.

I have now added two Linux machines and the panel supports all servers from one location. Pricing is fantastic.$75.00 for a control server. That's it!

I wish DNP was like this. Also they have excellent free support.

    Hi there,

Anyway, thank you for considering DotNetPanel hosting solutions! Also thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences with both products - we'll check new HC release in any case.

I am going to have to completely dissagree with you on this. We have had nothing but problems with Hosting Controller. We have been on it for a year now, and still are unable to give access to our clients because you can't launch a site without getting errors or crashing their services on the web server. Also, the Linux part is flaky at best. In order for us to use the linux part, we have to restart all the linux network services, httpd, hc7 and network. Then you better make the site quick, because it will work for about 5-10 minutes and blam, dead again. We even paid for there support and they couldn't get it to work. And  there current answer for all the problems....install the new version, and then something else breaks, and the original problem still exists. Thats just my 2cents on Hosting Controller. I would stay away from them.

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback I have expereienced a few issues with them also. I might be comming back to DNP as I love this panel too. I just find so many things frustration with all panels. Guess that is the nature of the beast Tongue Tied

Look like HC7 is catching up on features, but not on quality. HC7 got the Linux side, in which DNP does not have (I don't mind cause php can be run on windows anyway, even better with win2k8).

From my 2cent i see that DotNetPanel is focusing on by a control panel for business, not for the developers. Business forward for long terms sales for we providers, this can be seen by DNP Exchange 2007, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM which are business applications. and mostly if the customer is with the provider it's hard to change. That is what DotNetPanel is mastering, for us providers.

But for DotNetPanel, don't forget to master the basic of be a control panel too. Mostly SSL installation support, backup & restore, dedicate ip, which are not at it's best.

For most i like Working with DNP the most.
