    POLL: DNP Repair Tool

Currently if somethings not working or something has gone wrong, (ie DNS not added), the domain name has to be deleted and re-added.  The joy of using Helm is they is a repair tool to rebuild the functions.

this is one of the biggest features DNP is missing!!

Imagine one of your web servers crashed and you lost a backup of IIS, then with a restore tool you could select rebuild IIS for server XXX for all domains (or just some).

I am aware that DNP founders are ex helm users so will know fully what i am talking about.

Do you think a repair tool is a high priority development?

Hi, Nice to see know nicknames now in DNP panel forum. WinkThe only problem i found in the DNP was the no existence of a tool like the very good, very useful Helm Restore and Migration Tool. I need so must this "simple" tool.In the small bussiness with one server this tool its not very needed, but if you have a few servers and need to balance services, this tool is very usefull.

    Hello,

Dear customers thank you for all of your either positive or neutral votes! We are really appreciate all of your encouragements, feature requests and valuable suggestions.

However, let me remind you that the existence of Repair Tool and other features that our product "lack" didn't save WHA/Helm from the acquisition and business sell. Our team highly appreciate the way you do request new features and tools but please think different. Sometimes even a voted feature request might require unexpectedly heavy investments in it and there is always should be positive economic impact to make the business grow instead of degrade.

We do our best in order to deliver new features, tools and fixes as soon as possible but please be patient! Smile

    Thank you for your understanding.

    P.S. Voted for unsure Smile

    Re: POLL: DNP Repair Tool

I will add my hat into the mix here. This tool is needed!    I dont know what DNP was talking about saving helm/wha rfom selling.

This tool is simply needed to help EASILY migrate customers settings from one server to another AND to REPAIR (rebuild) services. IE:  Lets say you need to correct iis setttings because you accidently deleted the domain - you can restore that from backup nor does anyone want to recreate from scratch. Also say your main web server crashed and instead of trying to restore from backups and get that one machine running again it is easier to run the repair tool on a fresh space iis box just restoring the configs etc. Then restore the customer data from backups.

There are so many uses for this tool its should be a no brainer.   I really sometimes dont understand DNP thinking... They are always worried about the cost of something vs the value it provides the users who use DNP.  If this is really some of those things (dnp) then why not let us pay for those features that you think are so expensive.

There are a few that i would pay some cash for.
